La obra se dividi\u00f3 en cuatro libros: el C\u00f3digo, las Institutas, el Digesto o Pandectas y las Novelas.&nbsp;<br>Las respuestas y escritos de cuarenta jurisconsultos romanos fueron ordenadas bajo el nombre de Digesto o Pandectas.
